PUMP STATION OUTFALL IMPROVEMENT
NEWARK, CA

DESCRIPTION:

The outfall improvement project consisted of lining a total of seven existing 48” diameter pipes with new HDPE pipes under the levee and installing tide gates at two outfall structures, one with 4 new tide gates and another one with 3 tide gates. The new tide gates keep the water from coming into the creek during high tide condition and allow floodwater draining into the creek with minimum maintenance. The design called for minimum dredging of less than 50 cubic yard so that impact to the environment was kept to a minimum.

BASELINE provided outfall inspection and evaluation, civil engineering design, and construction monitoring services for this project.
